1. Introduction

Welcome to matriXdocs ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application handles your data.

Core Principle: matriXdocs is designed as a Local-First Application. This means your data primarily resides on your own device and in your personal Google Drive, not on our servers.

2. Data We Collect

We do NOT collect, store, or sell your personal data on our servers.

3. Usage of Google APIs

matriXdocs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3.1. Google Gmail API

We request access to your Gmail account (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send) strictly for the purpose of enabling YOU to email documents generated within the app directly to recipients of your choosing.

3.2. Google Drive API

We use Google Drive access (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file) solely to create and manage a secure folder for backing up YOUR application data. We cannot access any other files in your Drive.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is yours. It is stored:

  1. Locally: On your device using secure browser technologies (IndexedDB/LocalStorage).
  2. In Your Cloud: On your personal Google Drive (if backup is enabled).

Since we do not host a central database with your user content, we cannot lose, sell, or leak your documents.

5. GDPR & Compliance

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we act as a software provider, not a data controller/processor of your content. You retain full control and ownership of your data at all times. You can delete your local data by clearing your browser cache or deleting the application.
